In the San Francisco Bay Area we haven't had an earthquake in a while, and the experts say we are overdue.  If you're a long term California resident you know the drill - PREPARE!  The local emergency response units are very concerned because we, the community, are not.  It has been a while since October 15th, 1989 and people have either forgotten or didn't reside here at that time.  September 11th and Katrina reminded us and people once again took positive steps to prepare.  However, the fear has now subsided and once again we have let our guards down.
